Void is the flagship technical direction — an AI character engine with persistent personas, long-term memory, and autonomous behavior.
Core technical interest: moving AI beyond response-generation toward embodied, decision-making systems.
Key technical areas: multi-provider LLM orchestration, memory-augmented generation, persona engineering, timeline simulation, and proactive agent behavior.
The long-term direction points toward embodied AI — systems that unify cognition with physical action.
Current status: v1 completed (37 days operational, 4071 messages, 330 memories). v2 planned.

Coding is the medium, not the goal. The goal is the system being built.
Frameworks, AI gateways, custom tooling, and internal platforms are built when existing tools don't fit the system's constraints.
Design decisions are driven by: maintainability, extensibility, performance characteristics, and long-term evolution.
Every abstraction is a commitment. Abstractions are introduced only when the need is proven across multiple use cases.
Patterns are preferred over one-off solutions. Consistency compounds.

Simplicity over cleverness. A simple system that runs beats a clever system that doesn't.
Static over dynamic when possible. Cached prefixes, pre-computed lookups, deterministic paths.
Single responsibility. Each module does one thing well. Orchestration happens at one level up.
Graceful degradation. Every external dependency has a fallback. The system produces output even when parts fail.
Documentation is architecture. A system without documentation is a system waiting to be rebuilt.
Open standards and interoperable formats reduce long-term maintenance cost.

Status-oriented engineering: chasing titles, frameworks for resume padding, or tech-stack fashion cycles.
Short-term optimization: building for quick exit, viral adoption, or demo-only functionality.
Influencer-oriented work: building for audience engagement rather than system quality.
These are not moral failures — they are simply not the current technical direction.
If any arrive as side effects, they will be evaluated on their own merits.
